Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)

A non-invasive breathing test that measures how well your lungs are working and helps identify or monitor respiratory conditions.

A Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) is a non-invasive test that measures how well your lungs take in and move air. During the test, you will be asked to breathe into a specialized device that records different aspects of your lung function.

PFTs may be used to investigate symptoms such as shortness of breath, persistent cough, or wheezing, and can help assess or monitor conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Results provide your healthcare provider with important information about your lung health and breathing function.
